CHALLENGE
In autonomous driving hardware-in-the-loop simulation testing, how to efficiently complete the adaptation between injection devices and ECUs as well as acquisition devices and cameras is a long-standing problem, and developers specifically face the following challenges:
First, the data matching problem: camera resolution, frame rate, embedded line information, timing and other parameters vary by brand and model, while the configuration requirements of ECUs for cameras also vary by different test scenarios, resulting in a long communication debugging cycle.
Secondly, data verification problem: after obtaining the configuration information of ECU on camera and camera parameters, it needs to be transplanted to injection or acquisition equipment to verify the correctness of the information, and the complexity of debugging and verification steps is high.
Before the introduction of VSA100, testers usually realized the docking of injection and acquisition devices through complicated hardware flying wires, manual configuration, debugging and analyzing the communication signals between the camera and ECU. This required multiple experimental adjustments, which were time-consuming and error-prone. Moreover, this traditional method also needs to rely on the acquisition and injection devices to verify the information, which lacks an integrated solution and requires a high level of professional competence from the technicians, which in the long run leads to longer testing time and higher development costs.

Automatically capture information to complete the triage configuration
OTA firmware upgrade
In terms of interface parameters, the VSA100 supports
GMSL inputs and outputs up to 8MP resolution, ensuring stable transmission of high-quality images through the deserializer MAX9296A and serializer MAX9295A.
The VSA100's 4K@30FPS DP outputs and HDMI inputs make it compatible with a variety of display and video capture requirements, adapting to different test scenarios.
APPLIED VALUES
The application of VSA100 significantly improves the efficiency of device docking in autonomous driving hardware testing.
Its one-click capture and quick verification functions make the parameter matching between the camera and ECU more accurate and faster. Test engineers can devote more energy to scenario testing and system optimization without being troubled by tedious equipment docking.
At the same time, VSA100's excellent real-time and multi-scene adaptation capabilities ensure the reliability of the test results and provide reliable support for ECU performance evaluation. In the development and testing phase, VSA100 solves the pain points of traditional methods, reduces development costs, and accelerates the process from validation to mass production of automated driving technology.
